Just another Thursday

Here is a glimpse into our crazy life with three kiddos.  Our days are split with Nick home during some mornings with the kids and me home in the afternoons.  Basically if I'm at work Nick is at home with kids and vice versa.

Here are some pictures from today.

Morning Shift- Nick at home, Pam at work

Poor Henry is either sick or teething.  He has a runny nose, is sneezing and is needy.   He had lots of cuddle time with Daddy.

Nick raided the garage for more toys.  Hannah is on Geraldine (This was my sister's and my toy when we were kids), Henry on the car and Cali pushing the stroller.

Afternoon / Evening Shift- Nick at work, Pam at home

This afternoon the kids helped me with the laundry by having laundry basket races.

After nap and dinner we headed out for ice cream and to the grocery store.

We ended the day with bath time and then off to bed.  To speed up the bath process I bathed two at a time.  Cali played in the tub while I rotated the twins through.  The twins LOVED sharing the bath with Cali.  While I washed Hannah, Henry crawled in and pulled up on the tub.  So all four of us enjoyed the experience!  Three kids is fun somedays!

Why we do what we do

If you want to know why we do what we do - it is so that on a Sunday afternoon Nick can do this.  Nick got to baptise some of his youth today.  We are so blessed!

Fun Friday

Due to our crazy schedules and Sunday being a "work" day for Nick our weekend is Friday afternoon and Saturday.  We decided to make the most of this afternoon so as soon as the kids got up from their afternoon nap we loaded up and headed out.

We started our adventure at BJ's.  Check out the twins in the shopping cart for the first time!  How awesome is it that the carts have space for two!?  They loved it by the way.

Then we headed to Red bowl for dinner because they have a Gluten Free menu.

Then it was off to the City park for the rides!  Cali has been talking about riding the carousel for days!  With tickets in hand Cali eagerly road on all the rides.  The twins even got to ride the train and the carousel.
The Jordan's on the train!

Family Fun

The kids and I have had a couple fun days!  Nick is on a camping trip with the youth group so we have been keeping ourselves busy.

Friday we went to my mom's house for the day.  This is us all loaded up ready to go.  We need all this stuff for ONE DAY outside the house.

The babies had fun playing with Nana and reading books.

We also got to spend time with Aunt Barbara.  Uncle David  (my dad's brother) was not feeling well from this week's chemo treatment.  Hopefully we will get to see him on our next visit.  She was such a trooper as Henry pulled her hair!

Saturday we spend the morning at home then my sister and her kids came to play in the afternoon.  Here are all FIVE kids enjoying dinner.

After dinner we took a walk to the park.

Fearless Cali!

9 Month Twin Update

It seems like a lot of changes have happened in the last month in the twins.  Mobility being the main one.  You can not leave the babies in a room by themselves and expect them to be where you put them when you get back.   They are getting into everything, pulling up on things and falling a lot.  Hannah is touch and takes the spills pretty well, where Henry acts like the world is over every time he falls - which is a lot!  Henry loves to pull up on people and walk while holding someones hands.  Hannah continues to be our talker.  We don't know what she is saying but it must be important!

Henry 9 Months

Hannah 9 Months

MONTHLY UPDATE:
Food - Four bottles a day of breast milk and formula mixed.  After 9 months I'm working on weaning them off of breast milk.  I'm super proud that I was able to keep up this long!  Hannah takes 5-7 ozs, Henry 5-8 ozs.  They love to feed themselves so anything that we can cut up and give them they love.  95% of what they eat I make which is so much cheaper than packaged baby food!  They have been Gluten Free thus far and we will work on introducing Gluten this month to see how they react. We pray they will have no reaction and will not have Celiac Disease like me.
Sleep - They take a morning nap and an afternoon nap.  Henry seems to need more nap time than Hannah so she usually wakes up before him and gets special play time.  They nap at 10am and 3pm.  They go to bed at 8pm and wake up around 6:30am.
Clothes - Hannah is in 6-9 month.  Henry is in 6-9 and 9-12 month size.
Weight -  Hannah 16 lbs 4 oz Henry 18 lbs 6 oz
Height - Hannah __ inches Henry __ inches
Diapers - Pampers size 3
Health - Hannah's Hemangioma looks so good.  Only 3 more months of meds!
Fun Facts - Hannah has 2 teeth and Henry has 1.

Their little personalities are really coming out and it is so wonderful to watch them interact with each other and Cali.  They LOVE Cali!  She is a big helper and a great source of entertainment for them.
Big sister wanted her picture taken too!
Check out how big everyone is getting.  This was taken Monday night.

This was taken when the babies where two months old!  They all fit in Daddy's lap!

Myrtle Beach Tip

We have just returned from a week at the beach with Nick's family.  It was fun to spent time with family and play with the kids in the pool and the ocean.  We didn't get to do a whole lot because we had to try and keep the the kids schedules.  For the most part we got everyone their naps but you could tell when we got off :)

One big success is that all 5 of us Jordan's slept in one room!  The twins each had a pack-n-play and Cali had a blow up toddler bed.  Amazingly everyone slept well for naps and at night with all of us together!

If Henry was awake he was trying to get someone to walk him around.  He must have walked 2 miles holding everyone's hands.  He will be walking as soon as he gets some confidence.

The kids enjoyed the pool.  This was the twins first time at a pool and they seems to have fun.  Once they got used to it they were splashing and touching the water trying to figure it out.  So cute!

Daddy helping Cali swim

We only got to spend about 1.5 hours at the beach due to nap time and me locking the keys in the van!  But the kids still got sand between their toes, ate some sand and splashed around.

Henry even wanted to walk in the sand!

Another first was putting the twins in high chairs at restaurants.  In the past we have kept them in the stroller and just feed them in their seats.  They liked the chairs and ate pretty well.

We are blessed to be able to go on vacation with family and it is nice to have extra hands around to help!  I'm pretty pumped that we survived with all 3 kids.  It will only get better as everyone gets older :)

Warnings

You know those warnings that they put on kids toys.  Well the ones on the bouncers say "Never leave children unattended"  This is what happened while I made breakfast this morning.  Henry is trying roll onto his tummy and Hannah is trying to exit right.  So like a good mom I took a picture and showed Nick before we fixed them.

Check out Hannah's progress!  She got up on her knees and was rocking back and forth today!  It won't be long now.

Henry is pulling up on anything he can find.  Today it was Cali's doll house.  His actual objective was the toy bin behind the doll house.

And just for fun this is how you carry 8.5 month old twins.

Play Time

At the Jordan Casa we do a LOT of playing!  From the time kiddos get up to right up to bed time we play.  What we play depends on who is involved and what room we are in.  Here are some pics of us playing!  And yes our house is covered with toys 99.97% of the time.  Feel free to come over and clean if you want :)

Twin play time in Hannah's crib.  I love Henry's grin in this picture!
