Two Years

Today marks two years since Dad went home to be with the Lord.  He was an amazing Godly man who made anyone around him better.

This past weekend I made a quick drip up to DC to Arlington Cemetery to visit his resting place.  I'm so proud and honored that my dad rests in Arlington with thousands of our country's finest.

I'm so blessed to have had 29 years with this wonderful man!  As a Daddy and as a friend.

The hardest part is the ache I feel that my children won't know their Grandpa Ray.  That is what hurts the most.

Twin's Dedication

Today we were honored and blessed to dedicate the twins at church.  The twins did great!  No tears!  Cali even went up with us and was awesome.  Our group took up 1.5 rows.  Love the support!

We were the last group to go and everyone did good while we waited.  For entertainment Cali was dancing and spinning around, Hannah was pulling off her and Nick's name tag and Henry was playing with my buttons.

When it was our turn Rev. Bob started with "And sometimes they come in pairs".  We have been at our church for eleven years and both of us have been on staff at one point or another.  Nick is currently full time and his boss also joined us up front.

We aren't sure why but Henry was enamored with Bob and starred at him the WHOLE time.  Everyone thought this was hilarious.  Bob even volunteered to babysit them!  Hannah wasn't as excited and was trying to climb out of Nick's arms.

It was a great ceremony as we dedicate our children to the Lord.

Afterward we all headed out to lunch and had a great time!  The children are so lucky to have so many people who love them.

Museum Trip

On Labor Day all five of us headed to the Museum of Life and Science in Durham.  Cali and I went before the twins were born and loved it.   We had a great time!   It was a little warm outside so when it got too bad we headed inside to play.

The great thing is there is so much to do and there really are play areas for kids of all ages.  There are lots of animals to look at too.  Cali's favorites were the bears and the butterflies.

Dinosaur ride

The twins even got to play in the baby area.

We didn't even get to see everything so we will go back soon!

3 year old Preschool

Cali had her first day of 3 year old preschool today.  She looks like such a big girl!

She has been going to the same school since she was 18 months old.  So she is familiar with the teachers, the church, the playground and her friends.  It is so sweet to see her grow up with the same group of little kids.

I can't believe we are only 2 years away from Kindergarten!

23.78 DAYS!

This post will only be interesting for moms and woman.  Guys feel free to stop reading now!

I just wanted to say I have spend 23.78 days in the past 9.5 months nursing and pumping for the twins.  Yes I said DAYS!  That means in the last 283 days I have spent 12% of my time feeding or making milk for the twins.

So tonight I celebrate the end with a bottle glass of wine and a bar of chocolate!

Cheers!
