Family Time

Our schedule is crazy these days so when we have time when all 5 of us are home we try and make the most of it!

Friday afternoon we all went for a walk to the park.  The babies like the new stroller and enjoyed riding so they could see.

The slide has always been one of Cali's favorites.  We even had the babies join in on the fun!

Nick has been working with Cali to swing all by herself.  She is showing off her "kick out" skills.

This morning started earlier than Nick and I wanted.  With 3 kids we figure we won't be able to sleep in until they are teenagers.  After feeding the babies we moved everyone into bed to watch cartoons.  When the babies get bigger we will need a bigger bed to fit all of us!

Twin five month update

The twins were five months old yesterday!  And big changes are happening!  They are both very active and vocal babies.  Henry can do full rolls.  His record is 3 in a row!  Hannah is almost ready to roll and can squirm around on her back.  They both love to talk, laugh and make lots of fun sounds.  We also moved them into separate cribs yesterday!  It was there first time EVER sleeping apart.  It went pretty well and we have high hopes going forward.

We are growing up

This is the face of a 3 year old who didn't take a nap today. This is the first time EVER that she has skipped a nap! She just played in her room. Hopefully this isn't a trend- Mommy needs nap time! She was surprisingly a very good girl this afternoon even without the nap. All four of us went to Target and the kids did great.

We are also growing in stroller size! Check out our new triple stroller courtesy of Nana! Cali can sit or stand in the back. The stroller is big enough for the twins when they are toddlers!

Easter Weekend

We had a good and busy Easter weekend!   We had lots of activities and got to spend time with both sides of our family.

We started with our Church's egg hunt Saturday morning.  It was a lot of fun and Cali did great!  She enjoyed the egg hunt, playing games and the moon bounce!  The twins stayed in carriers on Nick and I and slept.  Cali absolutely LOVED the Easter bunny!  I think it helped that the teenager inside was in Nick's youth group.

After nap time we went to my sister's house.  The kids had a great time playing together inside and out.  We had a low key cookout and just let the kids play.

Sunday we all went to church - a first since having the twins!  Cali is in the 3 year old room now and doing great.  The twins and I hung out in the lobby and Nick's office.  Nick ran his normal Sunday morning programs.

After church we headed to Nick's Aunt's house for lunch.  This was the first time the babies were introduced to this extended family and everyone was excited to see and hold them.  Henry did pretty well being held by new people but Hannah wasn't having any of it.  She stayed in Nick or my arms the whole time.  After lunch we went to Nick's mom's house for nap, dinner and more Easter fun.

Easter was great, but tiring.  All I can say is we survived!  Packing up everything we needed for 3 kids filled up the van!

Happy Easter.  He is Risen, He is Risen indeed!
